Having trouble with a 16GB Flash drive in Ubuntu.

Hey All, 1st Post.

I have a Sony VAIO 16GB Flash Drive and I'm trying to wipe it but I may need to manually mount the device. Otherwise if I can simply reformat it that would be even better.

Thanks

MAX

You can use gparted.
Does it automounts when you connect it?
To manually mount the drive

Connect the drive
In a terminal type
Code:
dmesg
see how it is named
then
Code:
mount /dev/sdx /mountpoint
