Hi All,

We are trying to find out what features are missing from the Linux LVM that could be implemented as our training project.Can any body please tell me what all can we try to implement which is not there in Linux LVM.

1) I was trying to make remote disk as physical volume but got the error that it's invalid physical volume.As I am able to mount the remote disk can I include that in my Volume using Linux LVM.does Linux LVM provides this feature? and if not what all changes I have to make to make it work ?

2) Is it possible in Linux LVM to resize the volume online(i.e. on the fly).Would it recognize if I include any other disk or remove any disk from the system ?

3)Can CD be included in the Volume using LVM.If yes how and if not then what all changes have to be made to do this?
and any other feature that could be implemented as a small project please let me know.

4)Taking the snapshot back-up off-host ? I could not understand this concept

5)Finally software RAID over LVM.Can u please explain a bit on this.
