Did Synaptics update on PClinux - and sound no longer works!

Hi there

Running PClinuxOS successfully for several months now and love it. However, did an update today with Synaptic and my sound no longer works!

Amarok gives a sound card driver error. Nothing else works either - eg YouTube videos have no sound any more..

Any ideas? I've never had a sound problem before on any Distro and don't know where to start.

Thanks

Solved

Thanks to an idea on the PClinuxOS forum - I restarted my laptop... and now it works again!

This smacks of Windows - but hey, it worked!
