Ho i removed the initrd and the vmlinuz file from the boot directory......so the system cannot any more boot
Do u know if it is possible to recreath these files? I use Fedora but the src files are not installed
You need to boot from a livecd (or bootdisk), install (or download) the source-files and compile them. The way to do that depends on the kernel version. See a howto or post again.
The bzImage should be in /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot. Copy that file to /boot, and your system should work again.
