Liquid puts a new module in the k control center for the menu's. For the color scheme have you cpoied it to ~/.kde/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes/?

Yes, I copied the color scheme to "~/.kde/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes/" but I am wondering where it is that I select it?

Also, where exactly is the k control center where I select the liquid module for the menu? Thanks!

Preferences-->Look and Feel-->Colors for the scheme and Preferences-->Look and Feel-->Translucent Menus.

For the first one "Preferences-->Look and Feel-->Colors" I don't see the pablorg one that I just copied over.

For the "Preferences-->Look and Feel-->Translucent Menus" How is yours set up? I've tried getting mine to look transparent like yours, but none of the settings I play around with make it look that way.

With the menu you have to select a background color that you like, mine is #2F5089, I'm not sure why the pablorg scheme is not showing up, have you checked the permissions on the file?

i'm having the same problem. I've checked the permissions for the file and they're right. One thing, i cn'at view the .themerc and the kcsrc file with 'browse' under the kde control centre, but i can view the files seperately, and i've noticed that the file is in plain text format, does it matter? How can i solve it?

Pls give a hand.

thnx

Plain text is the correct format, try copying it to /****/kde/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes where /**** is where your distro installed kde to.

Konsole just emulates transparency by redrawing the background, if you want a true transparent terminal then you need to use something like eterm. As for why the pablorg colour scheme won't work.....I'm stumped, it's in my control center and I've no idea why it won't show up in yours....have you tried restarting kde? If that dosn't work then your not missing much the pablorg scheme is nothing flash.

It all depends on what distro you have, but if you have a rpm based distro then make sure you have all the -dev rpm's installed.

YES YES YES YES!!!!! I finally got it!!!! LOOOKING SOOOOO COOL.................!!!!

Ook i am not that sorta person that just solve the problem and walks away. Here 's what i've done. First i was trina look for some rpm that can ease the task of reinstalling it again 'hopoin' that it would work. But then i found this site which changed everything! HERE: http://www.solug.org/nuke/html/article.php?sid=25

It shows you that just ./configure and make install is not enough, well at least for Mandrake 8.1, which is what i'm using. It says that i have to link the files together. And that guy's made a nice little scipt to do that, so all i had to do is run it, then restart x, and then go to KDE control and everything starts appearing...............................

One quesiont from me: DId you guys know this solution before ? Is it just that i didn't ask the qs clearly enough?

thnx for all help from everyone............now my desktop looks as cool as xp!!!
