About /usr/src/kernels/ dir...Help plz

Hi,

I was using RHEL 4. It had a director /usr/src/kernels/kernel...... directoy

Now i am using RHEL 5, which has /usr/src/kernels/ directory, but nothing inside it !! What does that mean?

I am trying to configure Openswan and there is one file called build, which has a symbolic link to /usr/src/kernels/kernel... directory, but actually there is no such file called kernel... in /usr/src/kernels/ directory...

What does this mean? Why was it there in RHEL 4 and not in RHEL 5???

Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

Ankit

Sounds like you haven't installed the kernel source package for your distro.

It probably isn't installed by default. It should be available on the CD. If not, RH are in breach of the GPL!
