Can't get America's Army to run.

I just installed America's Army 2.3 on FC4 and I try to run AA and it does nothing. Why will it not run?

You need to install the accelerated graphics driver for your video card.

What output do you get from glxinfo? Same for glxgears. Also, try disabling SELinux if you have it enabled.

Cheers,

glxinfo and glxgears

open a shell and type in each of those two commands and tell us what happens.

It's difficult to even try and help someone who says that the output of a command is "a whole lot of text crap."

Cheers,

I hate to say it, get yourself a Nvidia based card. I do not have an ATI card and don't think I ever will. They perform great in Windows, but under Linux it can be a pain to get accelerated graphics working. I am a Beta tester for the America's Army Game and have seen alot of players with ATI cards ask the same questions, and have the same issues you are.

There is a thread over at www.americasarmy.com in the Linux support forums area they may help you. I think it is still a sticky...if not I'll dig it up and make it one. The post goes through the steps needed to get the ATI drivers working.

The Nvidia drivers are much easier to get working properly.
