Hi All,
I have an AMD Geode lx800 piece of hardware that I need to tune a distro for. A
WebDT366 to be exact. As I am a fan of Slackware I have to ask: does anyone know if the smp slackware kernel will boot this hardware? Someone told me once that the gx series geode hardware was only supported by huge.s and generic (needs patching) kernels. Wondering if the same applies to lx800 hardware as it gets recognized as i586 where the gx series is i486. Would rather use the smp kernel as my end goal is to make a live distro that will run in ram. The hardware in question comes with 500mb nand flash ide disk on module storage and 512mb ram. As the storage is tight I thought this would qualify for the embedded thread. Mods - Please move this post if it is in the wrong area.
Thanks in advance
