Did you have problens after the instalation/initialization?
I'm using the same single board computer (PFM-540i) from AAEON.
USB and network don't work. I have some erro messages during initialization like "wrong irq, nobody cares" "use irqpoll".
Hoq muxh ram did you install on that board?
If you didn't install enough ram , linux distro's will not run.
Anyway, if you want debian system , try
video=lxfb:<Xres>x<Yres>-<bpp>@<refreshrate>
as a kernel parameter(e.g, video=800x600-32@75, etc., depends your display).
I found a solution for the problem that I had when using linux in PFM540I.
With the default bios options, during the boot process, there is a "nobody care irq 5. Use irqpoll option" warning message, and the usb and network didn't work.
In the bios setup menu, I put only irq 5 and irq 10 as reserved, and reboot again. There is no error message anymore.
