okay i always wondered what slackware was and how many distros are based on slackware and as i can see that you use it yourself (this site has to say what os you have for some reason but its real cool)
as for fluxbox i have no idea on what that is but i guess i'll do more research
i found a distro called absolute linux will i be able to run openoffice, skype, and pidgin on it
Try SalixOS, as I think its better than Absolute
Both SalixOS and Absolute are Slackware-13 based
SalixOS is more user-friendly I think and features XFCE desktop
while Absolute has Icewm desktop
Absolute might use less ram too
128mb ram is low, so firefox, etc will have a hard time of it
Tinycore may be a good choice too
A Minimal Debian install with openbox, fluxbox, etc would be OK
use Midori web browser too
@baronobeefdip: Fluxbox is a window manager. Window managers use less resources than full desktops, so are sometimes preferable on machines with limited memory.
well obove all programs that i mentioned, openoffice and pidgin are what i am more worried about since my sis doesn't use skype but openoffice shouldn't take up alot of space and pidgin seems to use very minimal resources
