I have Scientific Linux 5.0 installed and strangely, it will freeze if I do not have some program running when I'm away from the 'puter. Any program seems to do the trick, but if I exit all programs, when I come back no amount of keys or moving the mouse will bring it back to life. Any ideas?
Also, I put in another hard drive, but casnnot see it under "places/Computer" . How do I get to it? Thanks

Your freeze problem sounds like a typical problem with an improperly set up screensaver. After a set period of inactivity the screensaver starts up but fails and locks up the computer. Try working your way through the screensaver setup and see if you can fix the problem.
