Question Konqueror Timeouts with SuSE 8.2

I seem to be having a strange problem with Konqueror with one particuliar website, www-bankone-com (replace '-' with '.') that I just can't seem to explain. The website just crawls but all other websites appear to run okay. The same with Mozilla that is installed. I thought maybe it was my network setup, but here is the strange part. I have IE installed via Crossover. It works just fine!

I downloaded Knoppix and booted from the CD. It was okay so I am thinking that my hardware/configuration is okay. Now, I installed SuSE at work on an extra machine. It is able to manage www-bankone-com (replace '-' with '.') just fine.

The only thing I could think to do was run 'strace konqueror'. I did notice a ton of 'select' timeouts that I don't see on any other websites. The final strange thang! is that if I do strace for IE under Crossover, I don't get the number of select calls and the ones that I do see don't timeout.

I am in the middle of building KDE from source, but I am really not antipcating that this will help. Is there a Konq guru that can help point me in the right direction.

P.S. I have RoadRunner as my connection.

Looks like I finally found a work-around. If I add '159.53.216.55 www-bankone-com' (replace '-' with '.'), all is well.

If somebody has a good explanation, I would appreciate it.

if the same thing happens with mozilla, then i'd say it sounds like a dns issue outside of your hands.
edit: never mind. that's not true. i'm not thinking properly.
