Unhappy Anjuta in Mandrake

Hi,

I tried compiling Anjuta-1.0.1 in Mandrake 9.0 But ./configure says that it was unable to find gnome-vfs-config. I have that library installed. Even though I don't have gnome-vfs-config, why can't it use pkg-config? How to recover from this problem.

Alternatively, I tried the rpm package (Anjuta-1.0.2....rpm). Ah! dependency error, saying that libc.so.6 is not available. But I have libc.so, so I simlinked libc.so.6 to it but in vain.

Both of these compiled and installed nicely in redhat8.0

Don't suggest me to install newer versions of Anjutal, since I am very poor to pay internet biills.

Thank you,

install gnome-vfs-devel. anjuta is still using gtk, not gtk2, which does not use the pkg-config system.

Ah, I found this thread about anjuta. I have the same problem installing anjuta 1.0.2 from the source code. (on RH7.1)

acid_kewpie, I have searched on the internet about the gnome-vfs-devel. But indeed it has a lot of (maybe tens of) dependency problem. Finally I found it needs glibc++.so.6, which is not available under RH7.1.

Does that mean I can not install Anjuta 1.0.2 onto RH7.1?
Thank you.
