Skype font problems

And as usually I have a nice problem. This time with Skype.
As you can see in the picture, font and whole design is messed up - too big fonts, can't recognize latvian language special characters, design looks like a crap. So would appreciate if anyone could tell me where and how to change ANYTHING to things look better.
Installed the same skype package at work (working on linux Mint) and there it looks like it should. But not at home on Ubuntu 5.10
Complete reinstall
Running from dynamic tar.bz2 packages
All what i get is what i showed in picture.
Thanks in advance!
