[XFCE][Debian] Keyboard shortcut: unlisted package dependency

I've made a fresh install of Debian Wheezy with XFCE 4.8.
I like to prune my installation of things I don't need. However removing all the superfluous packages makes the "keyboard shortcut" stop working.
This is what I'm talking about:
http://docs.xfce.org/_media/xfce/xfc...-shortcuts.png
I can't find the name of the program, or containing program. So it's hard to search the net for what's wrong.
None of the shortcuts set there will work. Removing my settings had no effect. Reinstalling all packages made it work again.
I'm going to painstakingly obtain and go through the list of packages that I had deleted. If anyone could please tell me what's happening, I'd prefer that.

Now you've got the program, you can find its dependencies with apt-cache:
http://linux.die.net/man/8/apt-cache
And do you know this page?
http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/de...e/ch02.en.html

Personally, I'm inclined to say "let this be a lesson to you". Deleting packages is hardly necessary, unless you have a truly tiny HD, and it demands a lot of research to discover what can go and what can't.
