Unhappy Need Help after install of lindows .

Im having a problem after i install lindows . After it formats and loads the OS and it reboots i get the white screen of loading well it loads the kernels etc and finds everything but just sits there and never goes into the lidows window screen . I have intsalled this lindwos before and worked good. I have same problem on Xandros after it installs it just hangs there after reboot i have let it set over night before and was at the black screen. I have tried changing Cmos settings thinking something was making it hang and i have check the OS after i downloaded it and also it was burned @4X. Im going crazy cause i really wanted to try Xandros2.0 but couldnt get it to work and tryed my trustie Lindows but it no good either. Any help would be great. Thanks!!

do you have any usb devices plugged in? I once had a similar problem (hanging while booting) when it tried to work out what my Thrustmaster steering wheel was.

Just a thought.

can you do installation with diagnostic mode and put that last 10-15 line here? also, you may want to visit the following link to verify your downloaded .ISO image. also, what verison of Linspire are you currently trying to install? (4.x.xxx)

http://www.linspire.com/checksum

Also, put all hardware configuration of your system with make & model number of each product. [i.e. video card, HDD(partition details),USB device, etc.]

Ok here it is. Asus 865Pe Motherboard,120WD hardrive,9700 pro,2.8P4 800mhz fsb,Philps cdrw,Audigy soundcard,I have used Ntfsand fat 32 using PQ8 and i have also allowed the Lindows CD format the drive using its partion.I have check the ISO image already and it checked out but that one was for Xandros when i tried it . The Lidows version i have is 3.05 cause i cant find any free downloads of any 4.0 or better.Im not using any USB devices but they are turned on in CMOS.The Lindows version i have is good, i have used it before and ran it for awhile. I really wanna use either Lindows or Xandros.Im tired of my XP Pro. I wanna start on the easier side of Linux then put my Red Hat back on. I have used RedHat 8.0 while back for about a week but i got lost to easy.Oh i almost forgot i have 512 megs of Kingston 3200 Ram. And i do have 2 /36 gig raptors in raid but i unplug those when trying the install. The install goes really well until its time to boot up in the window and then it just sits there and sits there .Im convinced its a setting or i have something turned on that Linux isnt liking. Do i need OS2 turned on? Also if you know anyhitng about ASUS Cmos would the Enhanced Mode with S-ATA bother anything? The only other option are P-ATA and S-ATA or both on same time and compatable mode in this case i have tried all but not from the start of formating and install. Does anyone have a newer version i could download and try? Hey thanks guys for help.
