Trying to install Lindows OS v4.5 - will not install due to error code 200
Hi. I am trying to install Lindows OS v4.5 but I keep getting the following error code and it always happens at 19% of the install process. The error message I am receiving is:
LindowsOS setup has failed with error code 200: rsync failed. Please contact support for further assistance.
Anyone know anything about this error. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Got no idea.
I'd call support or post it on the linspire forums

Hi.. Im a TOTAL linux newbie, but my first computer was a vic20. So not a pc newb at all, but.. I had the same prob trying to install on a machine, and my guess, based on some prior knowledge of the PC, was that the install hit an actual physical defect on the HDD. Seeing someone else with the same prob. makes me question that though, so let me know if u too were already having some disk issues before this happened, good luck

Why I had install problems
Somewhere I read that linspire HAS to be installed with the hard drive set to primary master, I checked in my bios and found that my hard drive was set to slave. I changed it to master & it installed without any problems.
I hope this helps.

By making your bootable IDE drive Primary Master you will tend to eliminate many boot failure problems, from my own personal experience.
