Aunt: " Not infinite, not rational, belief arise from human feelings. Faith is a confirmation of belief. God is light, God is love and the manifestation of this is through connectedness with other, fellow humans; without human love we would not know God in my world of belief."
Me: sounds the same as a KKK member? -love...

Reason: whoops
As for me, "if our ancestors for many thousands of years have taken solace in El (GOD™), or Buddha, or the Dalai Lama, or Muhammad, or (much more recently) Jesus, or what have you(!), then I am n-o-t prepared to dismiss any of these things as: "a fairy tale."
After all: people "are, somehow, being ministered to." And I am not prepared to in any way "... disturb that."
In fact, "quite frankly, I want to scramble-away and keep silent," because in these very things I sense the unmistakable footprint of ... ...
... deity.
Yea, I act in this way because Ido clearly perceive that "this thing, in all its multitudinous forms, has [effortlessly ...] transcended human space and human time, while ministering to human beings at all places on Earth throughout all Time." ...
It has done it! ... Therefore, "surely, this cannot be a human thing ..."
(Yes, yes ... "IMHO™." Insert all of the usual disclaimers here.)
Therefore, I will stand respectfully clear. I shall not speak against this thing. Neither shall I in any way oppose it.
I will choose to keep my "science," like all of my self-held and self-made human opinions, "most-respectfully to myself." (And yet, in so doing, I do not in any way mean to speak ill of "science.")

Common sense: "gods" are always created not the other way around, unless you'd like to believe in all of them
(like the "cuckoo god"***&c***[edit])[/edit] you're an atheist!

is a contradiction
Exactly: you either believe in every "god" even the ones we make up, here and now (build me a shrine) or you are atheist! Perhaps, you choose sheer arrogance?

Oh My you're subconscious is telling on you and projecting. That last statement needs to be about you.
own it, Your own ignorance is causing your mind to ramble on or is it because of delirium?
atheist a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods.
Speak of ignorance? Us all! [QUOTE=BW-userx;5674982]... or gods.[/QUOTE]
Did the big smiley give away the fact that I am arrogantly telling you that you can believe in all gods, like the cuo-koo but you can't believe in one,,, because one does not exist(!) it is "many..." (clueless by nature) cha cha boom as you boom boom cha.
Some got good grades in school as a tool, others just to shut the "teachers" up...
Over 7,000,000,000 people here\now can you imagine being, each-individually?
