Oh, OK, like what have I started?

The emotional one, not so much financial. Most gals would prefer to have a rich man to take care of them, but I dont need or look for that. Just a guy who will hold me when I hurt, and who knows how to play and have fun And taz, I think it was cute you hitting on me and all. You are just a tad to far away though. Doesnt mean we cant be friends though. BTW- your leakage comment....eeww!

hello.... tricky's kinda cute. ...i do have to say tho, that's not the face of a prep
I would have to totally agree. Definately does not look like a prep, but he is definately cute! Kinda reminds me of the lead singer from Staind. Acid's picture though is quite unexpected. I was expecting some guy with frizzy hair and a angry face, given some of your posts here

For those that are really curious... I am 5'7", thin, with long brown hair and brown eyes. I keep myself pretty prim, and dont wear makeup. Sometimes I go goth once-in-a-while, and also colour my hair, with blue and purple or black, depending on what rave / party I am going to and my mood. Most of the time I wear clothes from girlie stores in the mall, my second home.

My personality.. I love to have fun and party. I like trying new things, and have a tendency to be bad when I drink. This is why I always go with friends, so I am kept in check. I am very outspoken, opinionated, and quite stubborn. However, I am not always that way, as I sometimes like to be the follower, not the leader. It would take a special guy to tame me and the wild side I have.

That is pretty much it. So what is everyone else like? and Isa, what do you look like? And does anyone know what happened to Therion? I have not seen him lately.

Well see, that's not so hard. For me anyhow, i'm an emotional punching-bag! Have fun? Hmmm, well i've mellowed out a bit from my days as a gang and cult member, so I may lose in that category.
Leakage? lol Well, chris? started that one...

Bob, just call me Bob...

i thought for a while that therion had renamed himself futurist and moved on to even greater heights of annoying posting. upon reflection tho, even therion was never THAT bad. almost sorta miss him. i actually do see an occasional post from him tho - and he's been behaving himself nicely. i do kinda wish we could send him and all his little annoying hacker tools after future guy.

anyway... i'm about 5'4"-5'6" depending on my shoes... dark brown hair... and i had one guy i gave my pic to tell me that i didn't look like a computer geek because my eyebrows were too neat.
does that help?

Man, one long night of drinking with an ex-girlfriend and I miss the "War and Peace" of post-fests. Too much to quote, so I'll sum up:

Taz, Bob, t'aint no harm in being flirtatious. Yet again you've proven with honesty that we All need to get out more. Also, I'd always pictured you to look more like the long haired hippee haired type geek with glasses. I didn't expect to see Animal Mother from Full Metal Jacket. Not only that man, but your place is way to neat. I can't trust that. That's scary!
Oh, and don't be worrying about the lack of hair front man, you're not alone.

Kewp, Chris, uh... er... what's with the random pictures of the sheep? And I couldn't figure out if the pink haired guy is the same one from the shot of you from the other link.

Shadow, Steph, I expected the Kewp/Chris/Cadet to look much the same that you did. Odd...

Isa, never worry about having eyebrows that are too neat, if you look close at some of those shots of me from The Clock, you'll notice I'm a few hairs short of a unibrow. Also, whadya mean I looked exactly as you expected?

Tricky, to give Isa some credence, yep you look much as I expected; shaven head, dour gaze, pissed about a long term of unemployment, upset after having spent the better part of the good economy years stuck in college. Oh wait, that's just me projecting again.

Gui, Thanks man, that means a lot.

Solidarity,

Finegan

Thanks Finegan. I must tell you that I can't remember ever being compared to an actor before, and after reaquainting myself with Full Metal Jacket (kick a** movie of all time), I decided I could probably do alot worse than Animal Mother (Adam Baldwin)! Can't trust the neatness eh? Hehe...Well, i'm just severely anal! The hair, oh I miss the hair all the same! LOL

actually... it's mostly the expression on your face in that one pic on the front of the clock... kinda the bored/amused-and-might-even-smile-if-anyone-else-ever-said-anything-clever sorta look. also the half-shaved/lazy because you got up five minutes before work goatee.

somehow... i didn't think that any of the other pics on your site identified as you looked alike... do you have two versions of yourself or something?

Okay... I'm scared now. I think Isajera knows me a little too well.

lol... this description sounds like one of my best buddies... only he's not into computers very much except for smirking when we cream others at Age of Kings... he's a Literature and Psychology grad and national chess champion. probably explains the half-bored/bemused look when looking over at mere mortals.

hey so... just looking at the original post of this thread... how's the romance coming along... ?

OH, I have a feeling that any LinuxQuestions.org romances are probably quite a ways off. Although, I do have quite the love affair with computers. Am I the only one who names their computer? Not just a hostname or such, but a name for the physical box? My first system of my own was a P75 Compaq Presario (Eeek) named Betty. I actually never had problems with her. Now I've got Frankenstein here runnin' the show. Strong powerful and a missmatch of parts and bodged wiring.

Also considering that there are really only two girlies here that post on a regular basis and everyone being so far away, I doubt there will ever be any romances thru this site. Although isajera is only a good 45 minutes to an hour away from me.

Wolfwood, Tenacious, Jack, Gomer, Ruprecht, Nimble, Venus, Earth, Wurlitzer, Che, Iggy and Horatio. Some people go in for LAN themes. I agree, you name the box, switch out the case, the hard drives, the processor even, but the machine keeps its name until you have to hose it down with a fire extinguisher.

Right now I'm tapping this out on Tenacious, which hosted my first encounters with win 95, later 98, much later Linux, then LFS, then FreeBSD.

Gui10, where you been man, Taz and I kept pace for 6+ months. He beat me to guru though... by 5 minutes?

Cheers,

Finegan

hailing back to the caveman days... one is called "ssh" and the other is called "rorgh". it's what a Age of Empires combat unit says after it is created... okay so much for imagination, but we thought it was funny when we named them.... (and yes, all i have are a miserly 2 computers at home... a PIII 600 and a PII 350).

where have i been....... it's all been quite fuzzy finegan... lol. first there was this strange phenomenon called exams... then the process of job hunting... then now work... geez... lol. i'd love to post more here but my workstation is just in front of my boss's, with my back to him. my screen is viewable by approximately 3 people. the only good thing is i get to use linux at work .

well, until i win some lottery money, i'll probably be posting at a rate of 1 post a day... lol it'll be ages before i get to the thousand mark... lol. but never mind, as long as u guys take the occasional glance from mount olympus, i'd be more than happy... so when u guys hit 20,000 posts and i finally hit 1000, i'll buy the people on this thread a round of beer, what say u? (hopefully we still have our teeth by then of course... then again, who needs teeth for a drink? )

And of course, the fact that you have the edge as far as the 'girlies' considering you the good looking fellow. Two cyber-women and a IRL girl? How do you do it bro?
