Hahahahaha! Or perhaps a nap time can be scheduled for the both of them at the mid point of the debates. I'll be curious to see if the first one happens in June.

Serious answer: no because they’re allowed to take those drugs on the job.

Both have demonstrated some significant endurance, although we have not seen that from Trump recently. The appearing to nap in the courtroom where he is on trial may be misleading. Unless you study law, a trial spends a lot of time being very boring!

The proposal is for a well moderated debate with isolation and switched microphones so neither can distract or interrupt the other, and while he did agree I am not sure Trump understands that. Also, journalists and moderators only, no crowd, no studio audience, and Trump has already out out social media posts indicating he did not catch that line.

Naturally what was proposed and what really happens could differ a LOT, but I would not be shocked to see Trump change his mind. Again.

If it comes off it should be very interesting.
We will see.

Biden claims that he won the last two debates handily. Myself and half or more of this Country doesn't believe that to be fact. My question is - if he (Biden) truly believes that, why would he change anything about the format? I think I read that Jake Tapper and Dana Bash are the proposed 'moderators.'

I have to vote "Yes" on the original post. History shows that some really bad outcomes result from leaders propped up by drugs. Test both!

Since they both work for CNN and CNN will be hosting the first 'debate', that should be no surprise. I see Hannity and his co-workers are whining already because they want to be part of the debates. This is likely a consequence of the network being publicly admitted liars and losing a civil suit because of it. And there was no 'noble' reason for lying, they did it for profit. How about Newsmax, at least it is not owned by an 'immigrant'.

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll both pass out on stage. Watching grass grow might be more exciting.

Yes, well, anyone who knows anything about debating will tell you that he quite clearly did. A significant part of debating is that you listen to the other party and rebut their points. Mr. Trump did none of that. The 2020 Presidential debate was an embarrassment for your country... but you call it a win for Mr. Trump?

Anyhow, as you said, a significant portion of the voting public don't care about the fact that Mr. Trump doesn't know how to debate.

I believe him, because I watched and was impressed by Biden. No one who understands Debate was impressed by Trump, he broke the rules by going overtime, ignoring the moderator instructions, interrupting, he drove it totally off the rails like a loser. In a formal debate he would have been disqualified from scoring, but in this debate the only scoring was by the voters. And they voted for Biden.

As for the format: knowing you have someone who does not understand or follow the rules, using a format the enforces the rules and common debate practice seems just common sense and is fair. I am all for it.

It is theoretically possible that there may be a verdict *before* the presidential debate. I am curious to see what happens in the weeks, months to come. American politics is definitely stranger than fiction.
