How do you guys get your windows to come up Transparent? I have been looking thu everything and havent been able to find out how to do it! any help is much appriated

latest shot (with illicit activity ). i find i'm liking just plain black background with no wallpaper. undistracting, and cuts down on overhead, too.

It's called gkrellm. It's a skinnable system monitor

yeah, 1280x1024, I gots old hardware. And I'm half blind anyway so that's why everything's inverse colors. Gnome 2.2, X 4.3.0, BlackMarble theme, the font on the panels is called JawBreaker, the one on the window titles is called pure.
