This is a new thing (as far as I know), but I've had two of these calls in two days, both in the same recorded voice. The call claims to come from BT but the accent is American. She told me that my BT line is "compromised" and asked me to press 1. I hung up but next time perhaps I will try that, if only out of curiosity. No doubt it will lead to another recording advising me to go to some website or other and download a file full of viruses.

I googled but haven't found this precise message quoted anywhere, so the scam may really be a new one. Has anyone else had one of these calls?
