Here you go...

http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/interne...eut/index.html

------------------------------------------

Quote:
"The decision to build or buy came down to our ability to innovate," said Kirk Koenigsbauer, strategy manager at Microsoft's MSN Internet portal.

"Our ability to innovate is predicated on our ability to own the platform," he added, a clear sign that Microsoft thinks it can only beat Google if it owns the technology.
I don't know why I find this funny, but I do.

wow....

Bill's plan to rule the world breaks down in to three steps:
1) Steal as much as possible.
2) Buy out as many companies as he can with better products than his own stolen software.
3) His innovation formula looks something like this:
if.company = reliable
then.steal
if.steal = lawsuit
then.buy.company or
use.programmers to mangle.code
if.government = interfere
then.buy.government

I know the coding isn't correct but microsoft mangled C++ so bad that they can't even use it anymore.

.:[edit]:.
"Any time Microsoft builds something into the operating system, they don't want to get that from anyone else," said analyst Matt Rosoff of Directions on Microsoft, an independent research group based in Kirkland, Washington.

This is really funny to me. .:[cough]:.stockholder.:[cough]:.
