The last time the OP was on LQ was about 30 seconds after s/he created this thread. If the light bulb was as big an issue that it needed its own thread on LQ after not saying anything at all for nearly 3.5 years I am sure s/he would have been checking for solutions every few hours.

Isn't it amazing the fewer information an OP provides, the more harried LQ members seem to be to provide guesses and answers? Especially when the OP disappears from the thread right after posting.
Sorry k3lt01 you were just before me but I wanted to post this critical note since yesterday.
Funny that most of you provided answers, solutions and guesses without asking basic information. Heck, the kid might be putting a 110V bulb in a 220V socket. Or, more likely he is trying you out or just trolling.
Sometime I am tempted to post a question like this: hi all i hve this computer here installed linx 12 but now when it boots it shows balck screen plse help me u all its urgent!!!!
and see how many reactions that will generate. Usually a lot I expect.
Oh, sure. We all know that. This isn't "our first rodeo," and if the kid is actually a 53-year-old bored software engineer, I trust he enjoyed his fifteen minutes of fame.

The thing that concerns me is the advice given to someone who for all intents and purposes seems a little "different" could potentially end in disaster.
