FOSS exists either independently of the establishment, or as a counter-balance to the establishment. Not sure which, but I consider it a separate thing.
Why does everyone want to block google analytics? (Please don't get mad, I just don't know what difference it makes.)
Google is stripping your privacy away from you. They are collecting all kinds of information - which can be linked back to you, or at least to your machine - about everything you do.
If you have any sense, you will resist their effort. Block 'em, lie to 'em, deceive 'em whenever possible.
They aren't the only ones doing it, but they are one of the worst. Facebook is another one.
There are some incredibly paranoid & ridiculous people lurking the General section here at LQ.
Yes. Other sections very helpful. I like LinuxQuestions.org. But general section is land of spammers. Someone should draw a dungeons and dragons map. Slackware forum would be like sylvan forests. And then general is dark land of spammers and trolls and you should go around it.
