is the word deamon DEE-mun or DAY-mun


i always say DAY-mun. when im unsure i just say "the little processes there.."

Well, in Atlanta, it may very well be DAY-mun, but for most of us it's DEE-mun. I read once in the Atlanta Constitution about how New Yorkers in Atlanta were confused that a bagel is a huntin' dog in the South!

actually, daemons are child programs... (aren't they?) and one guy said that his kids where little demons.... hence dee mun.

as for other options of pronouncing debian et al...
