I remember one of the fans I bought for one of my computers didn't have bearing and didn't need oil, it used magnetic levitation ... pretty cool. I haven't tested it for long, so I don't know how much longer it will last than a regular fan.

Disassemble the fan and wipe it out from everywhere (esp. on the axis and inside the bearing sleeve) with paper towel. Ususally it will be clean enough with just dry towel without alcohol
