There are many tasks in programming, that require mathematics, and there is not enough computer science. But if you be mathematician you could solve these tasks very good. (Image processing, signal processing, compression, ...). Now I want to get second high education in Mathematics (I am a programmer)

OK, I'm thinking double major, computational mathematics(number theory), and software engineering at Clarkson University.

Number theory is great!!! You'll be able to invent compression algorithms, or encrypting and make excellent software!!! Select number theory! Also you'll become extremely smart. This is very interesting

so would a CS major with a math(2nd major/minor) work? because that gives me a much larger range of schools to look at. From what I understand, a SE major may get me a management, that is in charge of a programming project, position, whereas CS is for the programmer. Right?
