Bad Sector Bonanza


So pulled this out of my fathers laptop, he was having boot issues and its no wonder if gnome disks is to be believed:

R--> Replace

R--> Reinstall

Hopefully, your father has a restore CD. If not, perhaps one can be made from the system's restore utilities, if it's a brand name computer...

Its all good, he got a new harddrive and everything was backed up.
Though he did dump windows now

He likes it fine, he was using linux for a while beforehand and only used windows again when he got his newer laptop that came with windows 8.1 and dualbooted up till his hard drive stopped working

Ironically enough this does make me the only person in my apartment unit to still use Windows, My moms got a chromebook, my dads gone full linux, me I still dualboot.
Mainly for gaming though, I actually have one hell of a gaming rig on my hands
