Another free XML editor

Hi all,

I am developing XPontus, a free java based XML Text Editor with a GPL license. There is a download link for the "beta-release".
. You will need java runtime environment installed. The software will run using java web start technology.

The new website is online. I have finished to create gui installers for linux and windows with
IzPack. I didn't put them online as I haven't test the windows installer yet. If only creating rpms, debs and whatever package was a simple task for human beings...

You can see a screenshot of the installer here

Give a try to XPontus!

Looks very professional . I hope someday I at least get my Simple Text Editor finished in Java. Let alone syntax highlight, ghehe.

Good luck with the project. Nice to see Java applications making its way into the open-source btw

Regards!

Any input/comment is welcomed . If you want to help, i would be pleased to add you as a developer after the first release.

I'm still fixing bugs and the new website is online. I am also trying to reduce the number of external libraries which will decrease the download size.

I hope the release quality will be good enough.

If you already tested it please report! And if not what are you waiting for :-)

Thank you mrcheeks I would be honored to join the project, but my skills with Java are far from being sharp :\. Did a little midi player last week and I had problems creating an executable jar file... I think you get the idea, ghehe.

I still haven't had time to test your editor, but I will report back when I got the time

Good luck!
