Yeah, the story takes place in the eighties. The show got many good reviews on the plot and great acting from the adults and especially the kids. If you grew up in the eighties, there will be things that will be back memories. The series is a combination of sci-fi, horror, mystery and drama. The series hooks you after watching two episodes. It's really, really good. I hope you and everyone will enjoy it.

Question

I feel a bit nerdy for saying so (not that there weren't issues before this or that it is not a good movie) but in the new Ghostbusters about an hour in, how did they know it was a he making the X?

i agree on all points, just finished binge-watching S01.
but i must say, for me it's done.
done well, but done.
i can see they added some "couplings" to bridge over to S02, but i'm not esp. looking forward to it - too much family series potential.
though it would be cool to see Eleven return, and how she becomes more integrated into society (i very much enjoyed the shoplifting scene).

also, is it becoming a trend to "make up" fairly standard horror/action content with nostalgic (80s or otherwise) markers? it works for me, but i feel i have seen this before.

Treated myself to Suicide Squad last evening at my small local theater. Was the 1st thing I wanted after being released from the hospital. It was a hoot. The girl. Harlequin. Made my day.

Next is Tarzan when it plays. Also the new Star Trek. Hopefully Hell or High Water gets to my one horse town theater also.

I worked on all of those. So happy to see so much love for them here.

We watched The Great Race tonight; it starred Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Jack Lemmon, Peter Falk, and a host of others.

It was a bit uneven and hardly Casablanca, but good for lots of laughs.

Nope. I had nothing to do with that one.

I feel that way too. Season 1 was perfect. If they do decide to do season 2, the Duffer brothers have their work cut out to match season 1.

I loved season 1 of Dare Devil and I was cautious on season 2 matching the same level of entertainment of season 1. In short, season 2 of Dare Devil was pretty good as well. I believe season 2 of stranger things will be great if they keep to the formula that made season 1 good. If there is no season 2, that's ok too, It was a good 8 hour movie.

Suicide Squad may be a movie I'll go see at a theater instead of waiting for it to come out at a video rental where I just buy a used copy.

Hope all is looking up for ya after your hospital thing.
