Synaptic Issues...

If you head over to Fedora FAQ you will see that enabling 3D acceleration the site reccomends removing package xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL. This is fine and dandy, except that it causes broken packages to appear in synaptic. Is there a way to tell synaptic to bugoff and ignore what I have done in removing that specific package? ...or does anyone believe removing that package is not necessary?

Thank You!!!

Isn't it possible to ignore that warning ?

What you also can try, is just install xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL.
If there occur problems, you can always again remove that package, can't you ?

I did...removed the package, then fire up Synaptic, it states "Null" yaddy yaddy, then that there are broken packages that must be fixed before anything continues. Of course the "broken" package is the Mesa-libGL. UT2004 does not run with this package installed.

Any other ideas?
