Running Vidos in FC1 and modem


how can i run .asf,.dat,.avi files in fedora core 1? if there is an application out there, what is it?
secondly, i cant get my FC1 to detect my modem (US ROBOTICS 56K VOICE HOST INT ON PORT 3). how can i install the modem and where can i get the driver?
