hi all. i'm looking for a desktop widget witch can display weather and system infomation on the desktop.
is there anyone know what's the name of those softwares ?

How about the panel plugins that come with GNOME? Right click on the panel and select "Add to Panel..."

but i mean i wanna put them on the desktop, not just on the panel.

In Gnome they are part of gDesklets, in KDE they are part of Superkaramba
