How to install liblcms and liblcms-devel

To be able to build Scribus, I must install liblcms and liblcms-devel on my Fedora Core 6 system. How can I do this? I have tried 'yum install liblcms', but that gives 'No Match for argument: liblcms'.

I assume this means yum can't find the package in question. How do I find out where these packages are available for FC6?

On Fedora Core 6 they are called
Code:
lcms-1.15-1.2.2.i386
lcms-devel-1.15-1.2.2.i386
and they are in the extras of the official release. The x86_64 version is also available.

Thanks; I never would have figured that out myself.

Next difficulty:

Code:
yum install lcms-devel
seemed to work fine--reports that the package was installed.

But

Code:
yum update lcms
Could not find update match for lcms
and

Code:
yum install lcms
Parsing package install arguments
Nothing to do
What am I doing wrong in trying to install lcms?

It's probably already installed. Try:

rpm -q lcms

Also, scribus is available for installation pre-built for Fedora. Just:

yum install scribus

Code:
rpm -q lcms
lcms-1.15-1.2.2
So it seems you are right; it's already installed.

I already have the pre-built Scribus loaded and working. The reason I want to build it is to try to debug some annoying crashes, which the Scribus team doesn't seem interested in fixing.
