Suggest : Run # yum grouplist
.. to see the "Available environment groups". ( KDE, Xfce, LXDE, Mate, etc.)
When running # yum groupinstall "Xfce Desktop"
.. you get the message that 'Installed size' = 361 MB
If that seems OK, you can hit y and get it installed.

Thanks for the response knudfl. When I do what I described with a ubuntu distro, the xubuntu-desktop only adds 24MB to 80MB. (usually 24MB) I'm guessing that I'm not going to get that kind of small install in fedora. Which suggests that I should just install the xfce spin.
Debian is what you'd find searching "netinst" but Fedora has one too (i.e: netinstall which can also have more added from larger .iso files if no net.)
Basically they're very minimal like some distros off the bat, Arch for example. So, you may need to add more than just a DE and\or WM?
