Fedora 10 install hangs
Hello,
I am trying to install Fedora 10 on my system using a Fedora 10 DVD. However the install hangs after the welcome screen when I click on "Next". I have to manually restart the system then.
I have tried using 2 different DVDs as well as using the ISO downloaded from the Fedora site. I currently have Fedora 8 and Win XP dual boot system and want to upgrade.(I know I ought to upgrade to 9 first and then 10 but I faced issues in installing 9 also. More ever I am ready to format the FC 8 root partition if required, as I have a seperate home dir where the data is kept.)
The DVD's are fine as when I try to intall them as a Virtual image using QEMU, it works.
I googled before posting here and tried out passing various kernel parameters - noProbe, acpi=off, resolution=1024x768 but no luck.
My system configuartion is:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 processor
Intel DG41ty motherboard
4 GB RAM
250 GB SATA drive
Samsung SyncMaster LCD Monitor
Microsoft Optical mouse (USB) + PS2 Keyboard
Appreciate any help that can be provided.
