Avoid KDE and Gnome, use window managers, use 'startx', lite apps (aterm xfe xchat xzgv opera etc), avoid icons, background images, and anything that sucks memory resources, read the sticky on Debian post-configuration (which is a compilation of advices from different users in this forum), look for a posting by Gunnix on that thread and check his website.
macondo, I just read the post, very helpfull, so is the Gunnix page
divukman, thanks for the answers, I have to be honest, don't understand very well what this patches will do for my sistems, but, i'm still reading
Also, i think that it will be very good use fluxbox, blacbox, openbox or fvwm, but, first, is not that my system be too slow, runs well indeed, I was just asking if there's tips or tricks for a better performance
Second, i'm honest, i tried fluxbox and blackbox several times but I just got lost jajajajaja
In any case, thanks for the answers, i really appreciate, I hope, that I'll can be helpfull for others like you've been to me
