spamassassin: spamd is not starting on startup

system=jessie. mail client=claws mail

even though i have etc/default/spamassassin and change the line
ENABLED=0 to 1
yet the spamd daemon service is not started & Claws mail gives me a message of unable to filter.
So every time i have to pass this command before starting my mail client "sudo /etc/init.d/spamassassin start"
and thereafter the service gets started. And then the error is not given.
how to get it started at boot always?

probably you need to put it into /etc/rcX.d (X is your current runlevel)
