Knoppix 5.1.1 live DVD not starting on laptop

<Maybe this is not the right place for a Knoopix question>

A Knoppix 5.1.1 live DVD (Jan 4, 2007, kernel 2.6.19) is not starting on a HP Pavilion zv6062 (an European version) laptop but the Knoppix 5.0 DVD (kernel 2.6.15) version does. Boot order has changed.

Last message is "Looking for DVD in : /dev/hdc" but it can not found it: "Can't find KNOPPIX filesystem, sorry". In previous line enables DMA for hdc and identifies it as a HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GCA-4080N.

May anyone know why on earth 5.5.1 cannot boot? Thanks.
