/dev/{dsp,mixer,others} dissappeared after installing udev

Hi there. After I installed udev, of course all /dev got cleaned up, and udev generates the files as needed. However, some sound related files are not being created. Sound still works, though. I have a Creative Sound Blaster Live!, using emu10k1 driver. I did find something interesting: /dev/sndstat, which is a link to /proc/asound/oss/sndstat, says the following:
Quote:
Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v1.0.4 emulation code)
Kernel: Linux genoa2 2.6.8-2-k7 #1 Thu May 19 18:03:29 JST 2005 i686
Config options: 0

Installed drivers:
Type 10: ALSA emulation

Card config:
Sound Blaster Live! (rev.8) at 0xe000, irq 169

Audio devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG

Synth devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG

Midi devices:
0: EMU10K1 MPU-401 (UART)

Timers:
7: system timer

Mixers: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG
So I guess that this has something to do with alsa configuration... Any pointers?

Also, I shouldn't have posted this here.
