I try to build live usb-hdd on my squeeze and get this problem:
Code:
# lb build
P: Setting up cleanup function
P: Begin caching bootstrap stage...
P: Begin bootstrapping system...
P: If the following stage fails, the most likely cause of the problem is with your mirror configuration or a caching proxy.
P: Running cdebootstrap (download-only)...
P: Retrieving Release
P: Retrieving Release.gpg
P: Validating Release
I: Good signature from "Debian Archive Automatic Signing Key (5.0/lenny) <ftpmaster@debian.org>"
P: Parsing Release
P: Retrieving Packages.gz
P: Validating Packages.gz
E: Couldn't validate Packages!
P: Begin unmounting filesystems...
I second unspawn's comment. I also had these unable to validate messages but I think mine were related to not having the debian-multimedia-keyring package installed. (I admit to laxity in following through on my own system for this install.) More info from you would be very helpful.
I've done all updates on my squeeze, created new lb config and changed the mirror server in config/bootstrapon.
Now it seems to work, I don't really know what causes this problem.
BTW I didn't change /etc/apt/sources.list and didn't install debian-multimedia-keyring.
Have you tried choosing a different repo than ftp.debian.us.org (or whatever it shows) during the install? Oddly enough, I did an install on my second machine (since the dist-upgrade failed and I didn't feel like messing with it) and didn't run into a single problem. Good luck! Sorry I don't have anything really useful to post for you.
