I use "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" configure the xorg, but it has warning and my configuration is not stored. What's the matter?
the warning information:
xserver-xorg config warning: failed to infer keyboard layout from layout/lang 'us--zh_CN'
xserver-xorg postinst warning: overwriting possibly-customised configuration file;backup in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.200512141241
System startup links for /etc/init.d/xserver-xorg already exist.
Bye the way, I did not manually modify the xorg.conf.
So you chose a US keyboard with a Chinese locale (zn_CH is Mainland China) ? I can see why the configurator is confused. The US charachter set and the Chinese charachter set have a few minor differences.....
do you actually have a Chinese Unicode Keyboard ? did you generate any other locales other than zh_CN ?
Might want to rethink your locales more in accordance with the keyboard type and languages you speak/read/type..
Thank you. I change the keyboard to 'zh_CN', but it is still confused.

It seems the system considers my 'xorg.conf' modified manually, but I didn't.
