Sorry, I don't know what to tell you there. Hopefully someone else will see this and have an idea or two.

Have you posted a thread over at the Arch forums yet?

Hey sorry to have to mention this but did you know Arch has a screensaver? Did you try pushing some keys on the keyboard to try to wake it or did you just turn it off? Next time try pressing 'Ctrl' or another key you know won't do anything (I usually avoid 'Space' or 'Enter' etc so as not to unintentionally opt 'yes' to something I didn't want to hiding behind the screensaver).
