Arch packages can be used for other distro?

Is it possible to use packages build for Arch with other distro such as CentOS?

I am particularly interested in Bumblebee 3.2.1 package for Arch linux to use with CentOS 5.9. Was searching for kernel version used by Arch but could not found.

Usualy every distro have its own packages and sometimes when the distros close enough like using same package manager and package type and they are in the same branch maybe is possible to do that, other wise usualy not a good idea. That doesn't happen between Arch and CentOS, Arch is the main distro of one branch and CentOS is derivate of RedHat with is a totally different branch. As you can see here: http://futurist.se/gldt/wp-content/u...0/gldt1210.svg

Don't get Bumblebee from Arch repos for a non-Arch distro; get it from here: http://bumblebee-project.org/

Full instructions are here: https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project...tall-and-usage

Will it work in CentOS? I have no idea. CentOS as you know uses older kernel/libraries. Have you thoroughly exhausted the offical RHEL/CentOS documentation pertaining to Nvidia cards?

Unless you understand the install paths, never use a package from one distribution on another.
