ktorrent

Open a terminal

#su
<root passwd>

You will see the name of the package manager, etc. It can install the program from the repository in the Vector Linux site.

# slapt-get --help

Will tell you how to use it

OR see

https://vector.ecosq.com/ic/HowTos/H...lApps/packages

ktorrent, xtorrent, qtorrent, azureus, bittorrent, mldonkey, gnutella are all p2p applications. Ktorrent is easiest for bittorrent. (You can also install from the slackware site)

For different questions, use new threads.

slapt-get or gslapt

First you find what is available.
Then install the required packages (the package manager will download and install them for you).

You can also add the slackware repositories (but is it required?)

For music etc consider xmms, kmplayer, vlc, etc

slapt-get install ...

you control volume with mixer

you can rectify bad isos with ktorrent

I don't know how to install ktorrent. I thought xmms and kmplayer and stuff like that was just so you could listen to music. I want to be able to download it.

If ktorrent is not available, you can get them here:

http://ftp.linux.org.tr/slackware/sl...xtra/ktorrent/

Suppose the ktorrent file is in folder /home/abc

Open Terminal
#cd /home/abc
#su
<root psswd>
#installpkg ktorrent*.tgz

That is it

Also update your system with slapt-get (see next post)
