mplayer can't be authenticated

hi there,
when i try to use synaptic to install mozilla-mplayer i get a msg asking if i wish to proceed because these packages cannot be authenticated?
It wants to Dl a bunch of libs and xmms with it.

Basically - what should i think of this? I was about to Dl it anyway, but thought I'd ask here first.

thanks in advance,
howard

If you are using Synaptic go ahead and install it. I can't remember whether it is universe, multiverse, or backports but one doesn't authenticate.

It is still safe to install.

You may have to authenticate the mplayer repository that you are using. See the instructions here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com//AptAuthenti...ctionsForHoary As the above poster said, the package itself is safe to install. It just requires mplayer, which is not included in the official Debian/Ubuntu stuff.
