Hi All,
I have installed Linux AS 2.1 (RH) and assigned an IP address. Now what I want to do is to configure its browser with the windows 2000 proxy server. So where I may cofigure this so I will be able to use the Linux browser (Mozilla) for browsing. I have tried with SAMBA but things are not working. If I use dialup then things seem ok.
Hi Sikandar,
I have a similar setup at my place. I have Xp on one m/c connected to the net and i work on another m/c running fc2( had rh9 earlier). First of all both fc2 & rh9 do an eth0 check at startup if thats [ OK ] you've passed the first step. Now what you need to do is goto System Settings -> Network or Internet Config Wizard.
Here you'll see information about your eth0 device. Edit this device and enable 'Automatically get ip settings from dhcp'.
thats all you need to do.
Happy surfing.
