Firefox opening by itself

Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy
Firefox 2.0.0.14

When booting Ubuntu after the desktop Firefox opens by itself

As I am using dialup the address bar shows page not found

After closing Firefox and login to internet Firefox opens to set home page yahoo

No problems after the initial boot screen

What is causing Firefox to open on its own after boot?

Sounds like you logged out at least once while Firefox was running and it saved that session.

Thats very possible with this dial up system

How would I go about correcting this problem if it was created by a log out without closing Firefox

The problem was in Ubuntu start up programs

The firefox startup box was checked
