Smile Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06)


hi everyone,
i am trying to turn the interface wlan1 into mode monitor and i get this error message.
does anyone know what's the issue?


# iwconfig wlan1 mode monitor
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan1 ; Invalid argument.

Often some modes are simply not implemented in the driver. That seems to be your problem.
Managed is usually put there first, and some server mode.
